A ‘Starry, Starry Night’ from beginning to end |
|
The moment the 220 guests entered the Elangeni’s Grant Illanga Room on Friday, 8th May, the tone was set for The Sunflower Fund’s ‘Starry, Starry Night’ Charity Ball in Association with International Bank Vaults.
The décor by Lemontree Concepts was breath taking and the rest of the evening followed suit with KWV sparkling wine on arrival, a ladies gift pack from Sensai valued at R783, Lindt chocolate, a delicious, beautifully presented three course meal with service to match.
Kelly Parkhurst from Top Billing hosted the evening and the fantastic entertainment line-up started with the Kearsney Choir which had the glamorously dressed guests clapping, whistling and shouting for more.
The Debbie Mari Band played background music during dinner which was followed by a speech by Tenley Cummings of The Sunflower Fund who appealed to each and everyone present to do what they can to support the cause and help build the South African Bone Marrow Registry.
“To build an ethnically diverse bone marrow registry which is accessible to all South African’s suffering with leukaemia you just need to give something of yourself”, explained Tenley.
